Do I need to register to use redBus?
redBus offers a unique flexibility in user registration. It is not mandatory to register to buy tickets online. However, frequent passengers can opt to register with redbus to avoid giving their details every time they buy bus tickets.

Does booking online cost me more?
Not al all! You will pay exactly the same price as you would pay to your travel agent. If you think we have charged you more for your bus ticket, please feel free to send us the details by filling the feedback form. We have many satisfied customers and one of the reasons is that they get all the convenience at the same cost!

Will you have my bus operator as a part of your website?
We have partnered with over 150 bus operators all over the country. Which means that we have most of them on our list. This way, we give you the option to choose from the operator you prefer.

Ticket-related

I don't have a printer. Is it a must to take the printout of the ticket?

Yes. It is a must to take a printout of the ticket and produce it at the time of boarding. A copy of the ticket will be sent to you by e-mail. If you don't have a printer at the time of booking, the e-mail can be printed later and the same may be produced at the time of boarding.

I've lost my ticket. What do I do now?

A copy of the ticket would have been sent to you by e-mail when you booked the ticket. Please take a printout of that mail and produce it at the time of boarding. If you have not received the ticket e-mail, please contact one of the redbus executives at any location by phone.

Booking-related

Your site shows me a request button when I search for my route. What is this?
Tickets to some bus services are avialable through request. For these services, 'Request' button shows up instead of the 'Book' button. You will have to click on the 'Request' button to place your request. Our customer service executive will then arrange for tickets and contact you.

I have placed a request. How much time will it take to hear from you now?
Based on the requests queue and date of journey, our service executive will contact you anywhere between 10 minuntes to 1 day.

Your site shows me a Book Unconfirmed button when I search for my route. What is this?
Tickets to some bus services cannot be confirmed as the seats are currently not available.However you can book an unconfirmed ticket for the same route and if those seats becomes available later you will get a confirmed Ticket. For these services, 'Book Unconfirmed' button shows up instead of the 'Book' button. You will have to click on the 'Book Unconfirmed' button to place your request. Our customer service executive will then arrange for tickets and contact you.

I have done a unconfirmed booking. How much time will it take to hear from you now?
Based on the unconfirmed booking queue and date of journey, our service executive will contact you anywhere between 10 minuntes to 1 day.

Payment-related

Does the owner of the credit card with which the ticket is purchased need to be one of the passengers?

No. A passenger can use any card to pay for the ticket, not necessarily his own. However, please note that the passenger in whose name the ticket is booked should carry a proof of his identity (along with the ticket) at the time of boarding the bus.

I don't have a credit card. Can I still buy a bus ticket?

I don't have a credit card. Can I still buy a bus ticket? Sure you can. You can call us and book your bus ticket over the phone. You can get the tickets home delivered at a cost of Rs.20 and pay cash on delivery.

What Payment options do I have?

    Yes. You don't necessarily need to have a credit card to buy tickets on redbus . All you need to have is just an internet enabled bank account. You can transfer money from any of your below bank accounts to redbus to buy tickets:

  • When does the transaction appear on my credit card statement?

    All transactions on redbus will appear as www.redbus.in or ccavenue in your credit card statement depending on the payment option that you had chosen.

    How can I order a Home Delivery of a ticket and pay by cash on delivery?

    At redbus, you can not only purchase a ticket online with any of the above-mentioned payment options, you can also order a Home Delivery and pay by cash on delivery of the ticket. To order a home delivery, contact our support executives at any of our support centers by phone

    Is it safe to use my credit card on this site?
    Transactions on redbus are very safe. redbus employs the best-in-class security and the transactions done through redbus are secure. redbus uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) data encryption. Using SSL ensures that the information exchanged with redbus is never transmitted unencrypted thus protecting the information from being viewed by unauthorized individuals. This encryption is done using 128-bit RC4 encryption. In addition the credit card information is processed over secure gateways which are certified by Visa.

    Cancellation-related

    Can I cancel my ticket online?

    Yes. The tickets booked through redbus can be cancelled. Kindly note that the money is not transferred back to your credit / debit card. Instead the money will be refunded in the form of a Cash Coupon which can be used for an equivalent Indian currency during the next transaction, within 6 months of cancellation. The following is the usual fee for cancellation.

    How can I cancel my bus ticket online?
    You can click on the cancellation link on our home page. There you can fill in the details and your ticket will be cancelled.

    Refund-related

    I missed the bus. Do I get refund?

    redbus provides 100% refund if the bus is missed due to either redbus or its partner company's fault. However, if the bus is missed due to any other reason not directly related to redbus it does not provide any refund.

    How can I get a refund in case I cancel my ticket?
    We have a cancellation policy. It's a part of our terms and conditions section. You will get a refund as per the cancellation policy. You will get this refund in the form of a cash coupon.

    The cash coupon is a 12 digit alpha-numeric code that can be used as money while purchasing a ticket through redbus.

    Can I use more than one cash coupon during a single transaction?

    Yes. You can use more than one cash coupon during a single transaction on redbus. You can enter as many as 3 coupons per transaction. However each coupon can be used only once. Every time you enter a new cash coupon number, you submit the number using 'calculate'. The balance after the transaction will be associated with the new cash coupon.

    What is a cash coupon?
    The cash coupon is a 12 digit alpha-numeric code that can be used as money while purchasing a ticket through redbus.

    I don't want the cash coupon - I want my money back. What do I do?
    The cash coupon policy was introduced for convenience to the user so that they don't have to go through the payment procedure all over again. However, if you wish to encash the cash coupon, you can do so by sending us a mail on support@redBus.in. We will require your cash coupon number, and the bank / card details you used while making a payment the time you transacted.
